I’ve placed some items in the alley outside Papa’s Thrift Shop (5 Park Street in Lewiston). They include…
- a child’s crib – NOTE: This appears to be old and therefore does not meet current safety standards! Please only take it for craft or other use… don’t take a chance on a baby’s head getting stuck between the slats or having some other accident!
- two old televisions – These clearly are not of the flat screen variety; we have no idea whether they work or not
- a plastic planter
- two door-shaped panels with windows in them – I suppose I should ask my husband what they’re for; I don’t have a clue
- a box of stuff including lots of plastic hangers, some pill bottles, and other assorted things
Hope someone can put this stuff to use!
Location: Papa’s Thrift Shop at 5 Park Street, Lewiston ME 04240.
Hours: Usually 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Mondays, and 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Fridays & Saturdays. Sometimes we’re open at other times … if you happen to drop by and don’t see the door open, check around the corner at Heritage Collectibles. If we can, we’ll open up Papa’s for you.
Our hours do vary, unfortunately, depending on the demands of our day jobs (Linda is a social worker, and John is the post press supervisor at the local newspaper), whether we are exhibiting at an antiques or home show (rare nowadays), doing a garage sale or flea market clean-out, or are attending an auction we just don’t want to miss! Your best bet is to call us first to make sure we’ll be there, or to make an appointment. We do try to post our hours each day on the shop’s door, and on this blog.

Message re Our Products:
Most of the items we offer are pre-owned (although you’ll find some things still have tags on them). Therefore, reasonable wear & tear is to be expected, and our items are sold as seen and as described in the photos and/or in person.
We try to describe any damage, nicks, blemishes or other problems of which we are aware in any and all of our listings, and always include plenty of clear photographs which are integral to the description, so please review them closely.
We ordinarily do not “clean up” items because such cleaning may detract from their value.
We are specific and honest in our descriptions because we want happy buyers who will return and/or refer their friends!
