If you like to read contemporary fiction and/or romance, do we have a deal for you!
We have a couple of thousand or more of the latest in contemporary fiction – as well as lots of older romance – in hardcover, trade paperback and mass market paperback.
The pictures here show only the mass market paperbacks… they’re mostly in large banana boxes you’ll want to dig through. The trade paperback sized fiction titles are also in boxes.
The hardcovers are mostly all shelved… just not sorted very well yet so we’re waiting before posting pictures… which will be coming soon!
These titles are part of a large lot of 5,000 books we just got in and have been added to our Big Wonderful Book Sale at Papa’s Thrift Shop (part of Heritage Collectibles, Books & Maps) that’s going on now through the end of May!
Condition: Nearly all of the hardcovers and trade paperbacks are in like-new condition.
Price: During this sale (and only for the books at Papa’s Thrift Shop, 5 Park Street in Lewiston) pricing is as follows:
Hardcovers are $1.75 each, or five for $7.00 (that’s buy 4, get one free) and ten for $12.25 (that’s buy 10, get 3 free!). Buy twenty and get 7 free (that’ll cost you just $22.35!)
After the sale, hardcovers at Papa’s will be $1.95 each, or five for $7.95. Hardcovers at Heritage Collectibles, Books & Maps are individually priced.
Trade paperbacks are $1.25 each, or five for $5.00, 10 for $8.75, and twenty for $16.25!
After the sale, trade paperbacks at Papa’s will be $1.50 each, or five for $6.00. Trade paperbacks at Heritage Collectibles, Books & Maps are individually priced.
Mass market paperbacks are 35c each, or four for a dollar. Buy 10 for just S2.25 and 20 for $4.00!
After the sale, mass markets at Papa’s will be 50c each or three for a dollar. Mass markets at Heritage Collectibles, Books & Maps are individually priced.
Feel free to bring your own large grocery shopping bags to carry away your new library!
The books sold at Heritage Collectibles, Books & Maps tend to be harder to find and some may be more expensive (especially the military, aviation, engineering and new books by local authors), but they are definitely worth the price!
All of our books are less expensive than you’d pay on Amazon (no shipping costs if you come browse and buy in person), especially with that site’s new pricing strategy.
(Papa’s other inventory will be on sale, as well… we have dishes, household goods, purses, loads of stuff we haven’t unpacked yet. Most of those items will be priced below a dollar!)

In memory of my beloved husband John K Snyder… 20 Sept 1956 – 21 Oct 2016.
He loved our shops, especially Heritage Books, Maps & Ephemera – it was his baby.
He loved me, and oh how I loved him.
All of the profits after expenses from Heritage Collectibles, Books & Maps and Papa’s Thrift Shop will go to help fund The Warrior Project, a suicide prevention drop-in center in the process of being developed.
